    Plovdiv Medical University

Plovdiv Medical University admission requirements for students are as followings:

    Admission Requirements for EU&EEA Citizens

    • Complete high/secondary school education;
    • Diploma/School Leaving Certificate/GCE A-2;
    • Studied, completed, and obtained marks in Biology and Chemistry (obtain one of these subjects at level A2, and the other one – A2, A/S, or GSCE);
    • Pass entrance tests in Biology and Chemistry;
    • For non-native English speakers – prove English language proficiency at least at B1 by holding a diagnostic test at the University;
    • Submit the application documents by the deadline (30 August). Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status in September.

    Admission Requirements for Non-EU&Non-EEA Citizens

    • Complete high/secondary school education;
    • Diploma/School Leaving Certificate/GCE A-2;
    • Studied, completed, and obtained marks in Biology and Chemistry with an average score of not less than 62% of the maximum one;
    • Pass entrance tests in Biology and Chemistry;
    • Equate high-school diploma at any of the Regional Departments of Education in Bulgaria;
    • For non-native English speakers – prove proficiency in English at a minimum level of B1 by uploading specific certificates into the University’s registration system or by participating in a diagnostic test administered by the University itself;
    • Submit the application documents set by the deadline (14 July, UK citizens – 8 September).

The unwavering dedication of the Medical University of Sofia to delivering top-tier medical education goes beyond borders, resulting in a vibrant mix of cultures, perspectives, and skills within its classrooms. To apply for the medical education programs, candidates must comply with the following requirements:

    • Student Application Form in English and in Bulgarian languages;
    • Legal copy of secondary school education diploma with a certified translation into Bulgarian language;
    • Have assessment degrees in Biology and Chemistry in their secondary education diploma;
    • Submit various documents, including academic records, health certificates, and passport copies, all translated into Bulgarian and legalized;
    • A valid document confirming citizenship (not residency);
    • Two (2) passport-sized photos should be affixed to the registration forms;
    • A declaration in both Bulgarian and English affirming the validity of the submitted documents, and signed by the applicant, is required. Applicants can upload the necessary form from the MU-Sofia website;
    • Documents must be submitted to MU-Sofia by the deadline. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status in September.

    Pleven Medical University

The unwavering commitment of Pleven Medical University to providing exceptional medical education transcends geographical boundaries, resulting in a dynamic fusion of cultures, viewpoints, and proficiencies within its lecture halls. To apply for the medical education programs, candidates must comply with the following requirements:

    Admission Requirements for EU/EEA applicants:

    1. Complete the online application form and apply for the entry exams;
    2. Pass entry exams in Chemistry and Biology;
    3. Send hard copies of the following documents:
      • application form;
      • validation of secondary education certificate;
      • secondary-school-leaving certificate with a statement of marks including the subjects of Biology and Chemistry (the average marks should be equal to or higher than 62% of the possible maximum in the country);
      • certified document affirming the applicant’s eligibility for university education in their home country, translated and legalized accordingly;
      • 4 color photos passport size;
      • copy of ID or international passport;
      • certificate confirming English level B2 or above for candidates from non-English speaking countries.
    4. Deadline for submitting documents – 30th of November;
    5. Get the final ranking of the applicants;
    6. Receive acceptance letter with instructions for enrollment.

    Admission Requirements for non-EU/EEA applicants:

    2. Pass entry exams in Chemistry and Biology;

    6. Receive acceptance letter with instructions for enrollment;
    7. Apply for a Visa Type D from the Bulgarian Embassy.
